Happy Halloween!

I
Love
Halloween!

But sadly I have no Halloween party to go to
&
I'm a tad old for trick or treating!

So I decided to put together this dark, vampy look.

Which I sort of love!

I've never been good at selfies!

My eyes are dark and smokey but I used a pearlesant white shade to add a soft glow.
I used brown to create a depth in the outer hollows of my eyes and a black shadow to line my upper and lower lashes and my outer V, gently smoking. I thinly lined my eyes with liquid liner, carrying the liner out rather than into a cat-eye flick.
To finish a slick of mascara to the top and lower lashes and lining my tight line with my liquid liner.

I used a dark red lip liner and dark plumb lipstick on the whole of my lips and a deep red lip gloss to in the inner section of my lips to add a lil something something!

For nails I've been rocking a black & white crackle look that kinda looks like skulls..maybe!

Avon Mega Effects Mascara Review

Hola Chicka's!

About a week, week and a bit ago I received my first Avon order in a very long time!
My boyfriends, brothers, girlfriend [Phew!] has started selling Avon as an extra income so I thought I would buy a couple of bits to help her out!
I bought a heat protector and this....

This is Avon's Mega Effects Mascara.
I bought it for £7 introductory price, full price it will be £10 for 9ml.

Avon say its:

"The Wonderbrush that's going to change mascara history

Provides panoramic volume and corner to corner coverage for dramatic definition. Flake-proof and sweat-proof."

Comes in a little red & black box...

With an instruction manual...oh yes!

Pull of the cap and what do u have? A lil handle to pull out! [ooo..]

Pull it out and what do you get?! Something a lil different!

The Mega Effects Mascara is different from other mascara's, and I'll tell you for why!
The applicator.

The mascara applicator is made up of little plasticy spines that comb through your lashes as you apply the mascara. The little handle bends to and fro so that you can have it to your preferred angle.
The first few times I used this I found it a little strange, after all its not your regular mascara wand. But I got the hang of it. Normally when I apply mascara I tend to get in bit of a mess on my eyelids unless I really concentrate. But I've found with this I'm not so messy :)

I've found that this mascara holds a curl nicely and my lashes are nice and separated. The brush is good at getting in to all the corners and application to lower lashes is easy too :)

I haven't found any flakiness which is a plus but I can't vouch the sweat-proofness my face only sweats when I work out and I do than without makeup on.

But I'd defo give the Mega Effects Mascara a thumbs up for awesomeness :)

Inside the mascara tube.

To get the mascara out the tube I've found it best to gently wiggle and to put it back in simply slide in.

The tube though thicker than other mascara's feels so tiny in my hand.

I've recently placed another order for some more Avon products so I'll share those when I get them :)

Have a lovely day!

Sheet Mask!

Hi ya'll
Last night was the first time I used a Sheet Mask :O and I just wanted to share my experience :)

And I have to say I kinda liked it, although I did look like Michael Myers from Halloween and it kinda go in the way of my eyes :|

The sheet mask I used didn't shout a brand and was just simply titled Tea Tree & Peppermint.
On the back all it says is 'Specially produced for Xpel Marketing Ltd' and 'Made in Korea'
It claims that its nourishing and revitalising, deep moisturising and should leave my face feeling silky smoothe.

I got this little baby from discountUK man I love that shop!
Cost me 99p and I bought 2.

How to use:
1. Thoroughly wash and dry face
2. Take out and unfold the mask and apply on your face
3. Remove the mask after 15-20 minutes and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently patting the skin.
No need to wash face after using the mask!

I had a wee bit o'trouble breaking in to the packaging so I had to lop it open with a pair of scissors and I was surprised at how moist the mask was. To be honest I didn't really know what to expect but the mask is well saturated with ingredients.
The mask its self was cooling on the skin and felt very nice after a long evening at work.
There was a very subtle scent of tea tree, not really enough to notice and I kept in on fro about 20 minutes, could of been longer I was so engrossed in my book!

Scary huh?!

When I took the mask off it was still very moist seemed a shame to put it in the bin, but hey ho!
Once the remaining essence was absorbed in to my skin I just put on a small amount of my night time moisturiser and went to sleep.
I the morning my skin looked great [except a mean mustache spot, god I hate those the worst]
Normally on waking my skins a bit oily but not today!
It felt soft and smoothe and even looked a little luminous!
Now its 4 o'clock in the afternoon and my skin still feels soft but I'm an oil monster ahh!

Maybe he has the same problem?

Have a great day!

Soap&Glory's Slim Wear Review | Oil Cleansing Update (week 5)

Hi Guys!

Today I'm reviewing Soap & Glory's Slim Wear Peptide Balm,
But before I crack on with that I'm just going to update you on my Oil Cleansing journey.

I didn't update last week simply because not much has changed.
However this last week and a half my skin has become super-duper oily :(
So much so my boyfriend keeps commenting :( bad boyfriend!
So I think what I might do is up the amount of castor oil I'm using in my oil mix and see how that goes, hopefully dry some of the excess oil out?
What ya think?
Cross fingers anyway!

Right on to the SlimWear!

I bought this on offer at Boots for £5 for 190ml.
I trawled the boots website to find the full price, price but couldn't find it on there so maybe its being phased out?

I've been working hard since May to get my thighs in to shape and I think I'm doing pretty well but as a womanly plight I do have Cellulite - major boo!
So I saw this and thought I'd give it a go.

Everything it says sounds pretty promising and I was quite excited about giving it a go.
The big thing it does mention is that its not a miracle and that diet and regular exercise is a must- fair enough I think!

It comes in a squeezey tube and the cream its-self is a mint green kind of colour.

The scent is interesting! Its quite strong smelling which I imagine is the Peptide in it. However overwhelming I found the scent grew on me as I used it.

So I've been using this Slim Wear - "An Amazing Puff-Draining Peptide Balm that firms, contours, smoothes and reduces the Appearance of Cellulite" for little over a month now, So what do I think?

Honestly not what I expected or hoped for!
For the first 2 weeks I used this Morning and Evening hoping to see a difference. After application skin does look more plump but only because of the rubbing and massaging-in of the product - I get this from massaging in regular body creams. And thus the effect wears off.
A month on I don't really see much of a difference. All I was really hoping for is maybe my skin to look a bit more firmer and maybe if I pinched my skin slightly the cellulite wouldn't be so prominent. I didn't expect it to be gone. But this just doesn't work sadly in my opinion. Its the sort of thing that if you want it to work you will see a difference because you want to see a difference, if that makes sense.

I think that truly the best way to banish cellulite is with hard work and a clean diet - but I did hope this would help a little bit! Silly-Rabbit!

Anyway I'm going to carry on and use it up, the tubes almost empty but I won't be buying it again!

What do you think of cellulite creams? Do they work of you?
Know of any that work?
Let me know!

Hope you enjoyed!

Have a lovely Thursday!

Skin79 Min Set Review

Its been a long time coming but I finally finished using my Skin79 mini set of BB creams.
I bought these a while back, and mentioned them in this POST.
&
Here's the corresponding post!

Lets start with the fist one I used which was the bright pink BB Cream.
Ultimately this was my favourite of them all.
It has a medium thick consistency and covers pores and redness well. It glides on to the skin and there's no need to use loads.
A little goes a long way.
My favourite way to apply was dabbing it on with my fingers.

The colour was a little greyer than I was used to and I can say that for all of them, but the colour match was amazing for me! I was really surprised because it only comes in one shade.
Although I found if I put too much on I would look a little pale.
This was long wearing and kept my oils at bay while leaving my skin feeling moisturised all day long.
LOVE IT!

My second BB was the Diamond Pearl Luminous silver tube.
This had a much thinner consistency and was full with shimmery good-ness.
If you like that sort of thing.

It didn't cover pores and redness very well and I found it didn't blend all that great either.
Wearability is interesting!
Like I said it has a lot of shimmer in it, and I mean a butt load.
Remember Edward Cullen's sparkles?

[mm well hello! my face was like this!]

Yeah more sparkly than him!
My boyfriend did ask me one day why my face was so sparkly!
The upside you do look luminous!

Moving on to the VIP Gold BB.
I found this to be very similar to the Pink BB in both consistency and colour matching.

I would say it was slightly more moisturising than the pink one and would be better for those with dry skin.
It also has a long wear time to it.

And finally the pale pink Diamond Collection BB.
No shimmer in this one!

Again I found this similar to the bright pink and gold BB's but with an ever so slightly thinner consistency.
Coverage was good but not as amazing as the bright pink and gold. Feels very moisturing and actually seemed to have a slight scent to it unlike the others!

Like I said at the beginning the Super+ BB (BrightPink) was my favourite of them all and I have plans to make a full sized purchase in the future :)

Have you ever used any Skin79 BB's - What was your favourite?

Hoped you enjoyed

Oil Cleansing Method | Week 2 (& a half)

Hi!

Today's just an update on my Oil Cleansing journey.

Last week I was breaking out, all red and painful all thanks to Olive Oil :( boo!
So I switched to Jojoba oil and my skin is much happier!

My breakout has reduced massively, though I still have my 'everyday pimples'.
My oil levels rose up again :/
But just today and yesterday it seems to be leveling out.
Interesting!
With any luck my oiliness will stay at a controllable level!

After each cleanse my skin feels soft and moisturised, and I notice that the dirt/blackheads blocking my pores get drawn towards the surface.

So far I'm still loving using this method of cleansing
&
Will keep updating

:)

Have a great day!
